Star-316 Concrete Admixture
STAR - 316 is a high performance porosity reducing, hydrophobic, anticorrosive admixture for use in concrete and Portland cement to produce waterproof concrete.
STAR - 316 does not contain any added chloride ions ensuring that the product does not support corrosion of reinforcing steel. Being anti corrosive in nature, helps concrete and steel to prevent corrosion.
ADVANTAGES

STAR - 316 reduces permeability.
STAR - 316 reduces diffusion coefficient.
STAR - 316 increases water resistance and corrosion resistance.
STAR - 316 is chloride free. Ideal for concrete containing embedded steel.
STAR - 316 easily dispersed throughout concrete mix.
STAR - 316 is Anticorrosive in nature, neither initiates nor promotes corrosion.
Allows workability to be increased without adding extra water
DOSAGE
The optimum dosage determined by site trails with a specific concrete mix which enables the effects of workability, strength gain and setting time to be measured.
The rate of addition of STAR - 316 is typical between 1-3 % (by weight) per 100 kg cement.
